Annual Awareness Events

The Ruyts Foundation of Veteran Suicide Prevention is hosting their 4th Annual Race to End Veteran Suicide on October 21st, 2023. All funds raised will go to helping our heroes fight the battles they can no longer fight alone. Our heroes have fought for us, now it is time we help them fight. This event will have a Heroes Fest -IGY6 for the whole community that is free to the public to participate in. We hope to see you there!

1/2 Marathon, 10K, 5K, 1-Milers (Virtual 5K, and 10K)

Race Start Times

Half – 7:30am
10k – 7:45am
5k – 8am

Registration Fees

5k – $30, until Sept 15 ($35)
10k – $45, until Sept 15 ($50)
Half – $65, until Sept 15 ($70)

***Price will increase on race morning by $5 for each distance

T-shirts guaranteed to runners registered before Oct 11.  We will order extra t-shirts for those who register after that date, but it is on a first-come first-served basis.

The Walk to End Vet Suicide hosted by RFVSP and Vets Retreat Virginia is a journey of remembrance, hope, and support. It unites our communities and provides an opportunity to acknowledge the ways in which suicide and mental health conditions have affected our lives and the lives of those we love and care about. T-shirts available for the event, cost is $25 per shirt. You can earn your shirt for free by raising $150 as an individual for the cause. Teams can earn free shirts by raising funds as well for every $150 raised is a free T-shirt for a teammate.
